This piece of Phil’s conjures up images of River deltas to be found around the world in many countries, including The United Stares, Egypt, India and China. Some of the world’s most famous deltas include the Nile Delta, the Mississippi Delta, and the Ganges-Brahmaputra Delta. This beautiful aerial photograph is taken by Martine Perret, the French photographer based in Western Australia. Whether Phil was thinking about river deltas when he wrote this wonderful piece is a matter for conjection. What I do know is that he wrote it for guitarist Doug Boyle (D B get it ?) for inclusion in what was then the forthcoming CD Out Of The Blue, Crescent Discs CD5CD where you will find Doug guesting with Cahoots quartet: Phil Miller, Fred Baker, Pete Lemer and Pip Pyle.
