In Cahoots 1984: Phil Miller guitar, Elton Dean sax, Pip Pyle drums, Richard Sinclair bass, Pete Lemer keyboards.
I was prompted to look at In Cahoot’s first European tour in 1984, which included the gig at Le Dunois with the film footage I am so fond of, by Aymeric posting Pip Pyle’s 2 E’qiipe Out appearances at Le Dunois in Paris in December the same year.
In Cahoot’s setlist for this European tour were Phil’s compositions Your Root 2, Second Sight, Nowadays a Silhouette, Above and Below, Speaking to Lydia, Hard Shoulder, Eastern Region, Final Call and Kandoo (Pete Lemer)
In Cahoot’s first two gigs of the tour took place on 27/28th April at the Scandinavy Express, Lillers but the next day 29th April they played at Le Dunois in Paris with guest Didier Malherbe
Here are the rest of the European Tour gigs in May. Sadly the Dunois concert is the only one we have a recording of.

Pip Pyle’s band E’quipe Out played at the Dunois, Paris on the 7th December that same year and
again on the 9th December with Hugh Hopper on bass. (These were the gigs Aymeric posted on this site recently.)
In August that year Richard Sinclair left In Cahoots for reasons of his own and was replaced by Chucho Merchan (ex-Nucleus), at that time concurrently leading his own band, Macondo.
On the 21st and 22nd of August In Cahoots had a rehearsal with Chucho at Pete Lemer’s house in Halingbury, but in the event he never played with the band and Hugh Hopper joined In Cahoots as bassist shortly before the band’s second European tour in March 1985.
