Phrygian Blues

Phil had originally wanted his brother Steve to be part of the recording of the album Out Of The Blue – a suite of blues related compositions written and recorded at the turn of the Millenium. Sadly, Steve died before recording began which is why Phil dedicated the CD to him. Phrygian Blues is track 5 on Out Of The Blue preceded by Pete Lemer’s Phrygian Intro track 4.

MASTERCLASS
Dedicated to his brother Steve, this piece appears in Phil’s CD Out of the Blue which harks back to their early days playing together. A blues in the Phrygian scale with a Spanish feel, it shows how his early influences affected his later work. Fred Baker
